planning an event, conference, or convention?
In addition to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, I have been a guest lecturer at numerous colleges and universities. I have taught classes in counseling, substance use disorders, and criminal justice. I have been a plenary/ keynote speaker at national conferences all over the United States and at smaller conventions with smaller parts. I have taught correctional officers and sheriff’s staff motivational interviewing (MI) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). I have done numerous trainings in ethics and cultural competency for a national audience as well as smaller conferences and associations. Some of the places I have been a guest speaker are Rutgers university, the University of Oregon, Oregon State University, Arizona State University, Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, and Humboldt State University, to name a few.
